Arts Council

Byrne Creek is a beautiful, brand new school. But as you may have noticed, many of the walls and open areas are still blank canvases waiting for an artistic touch and some creative ideas.

The Arts Council is a club that can help channel students' voices so that our shared spaces can be infused with our own distinct culture. The projects that the Arts Council will work on throughout the year are up to its members. Examples of projects that have been undertaken by other Burnaby high schools in the past include mural painting, garbage can painting and decorating, bulletin board painting and decorating, festive window painting, street banner creation for community lamp posts along neighbourhood streets, decoration for school dances, poetry reading, talent nights, bus bench painting, and poster creation to promote school events.

If you are an artist, someone who appreciates cultural events, or if you have an idea for an Arts Council project, please see Ms. Moulin in room A107 and listen to or read the student bulletin to find out when we will be meeting (probably one lunch hour per week).

Ms. T. Moulin
