Baljinder Kaur Narang holds a Masters Degree in Health Education from Dalhousie University and has worked her professional career as an Occupational Therapist specializing in Community Rehabilitation and Drug & Alcohol Counselling.
Currently she serves on the New Vista Society Trustee Board, is President of Panjab Digital Library Canada and is co-Founder of Sikh Research Institute Canada.
She also serves as vice chair, Task Force on Sexually Exploited and At-Risk Youth; co-chair, Burnaby Healthier Community Partnership Steering Committee; and she represents the Burnaby School District at the BCSTA Provincial Council; Metro Branch; and the Lower Mainland ELL Consortium.
She was elected as School Trustee in 2008 and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Burnaby Board of Education. She works tirelessly to support the important role public education plays in making healthy and vibrant communities.
